Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be given 10/10 points in an Olympic performance. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to become the Romanian gymnastics coach. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships which she finished 13th in the year 1969. In the year 1970, she was crowned champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she won three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she was all-around junior champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver in her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first woman to perform a reverse double salo on the parallel bar that was uneven when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment started as a teenager. With her sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol's first job was in entertainment during her teenage year. In her early years Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
