Katherine Heigl reveals her experiences living in a white bubble changed the way she raised her multiracial family. In a recent "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl admitted that she did not care about her complexion until she came across her adopted sister from South Korea. "I asked Meg how she was treated differently when she went out with us parents than those who went out by herself. She responded "Oh Yes! All the time!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." The singer became angry by the incident, and decided to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl has a four year old son who is married to her 13 year old husband, Josh Kelley. In 2009, they adopted Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in the year 2012.
